On this Cairo to Capetown trip, I spent 108 nights in 54 different hotels at an average cost of 6.50 $US not counting the nights spent in transit nor those passed in the homes of friends. I have tried to give you an idea of what to expect of each place in terms of value for your money. An equal sign means an average value for a given price compared to other lodgings in the same country. A " + " sign means more value for your money than the average in that country and a " _ " sign means less. |
